The 2025 federal income tax system uses seven tax rates: 10%, 12%, 22%, 24%, 32%, 35%, and 37%. The tax bracket tables are adjusted annually for inflation and depend on your filing status.

These tax tables apply to taxable income earned during 2025. The deadline for filing 2025 taxes will be April 15, 2026, or October 15, 2026, with an extension.

Other Important Tax Figures

Standard Deduction: For 2025, the standard deduction amounts have increased.

Single or Married Filing Separately: $15,000

Married Filing Jointly or Qualifying Surviving Spouse: $30,000

Head of Household: $22,500

Long-Term Capital Gains Tax: The rates for long-term capital gains and qualified dividends in 2025 are 0%, 15%, and 20%, depending on your income level.

Social Security Wage Base: The maximum wage subject to Social Security tax for 2025 is $176,100.
